The Brain@Work project at Viktringer Ring 28 in Klagenfurt at Lake Wörthersee was completed in the summer of 2020. The building combines a hotel, two independent office spaces, and an area designated for an educational institution all under one roof.
The Ibis Styles Hotel opened in early July of 2020 and since then has been well attended. The hotel offers generous general areas on the ground floor and on the 2nd floor, as well as 137 room units in various size categories. Additionally, the hotel offers open spaces and parking spaces in the building’s own parking garage.
The office space has now been in operation for just over a year and is located on the 1st floor and partially on the ground floor. These are extremely popular for the occupants.
Thanks to the generous mullion-and-transom façade, the location of the office and general hotel areas, as well as the university areas, is clearly visible from the façade. The room units above are more private and therefore designed to be more secluded.
The “Brain@Work” is also highlighted by the redesign of the forecourt, and the shape of the building blends in well with the urban planning context.
