Yesterday it was finally happening: our WGA team once again took part in this year’s Business Run in Vienna! Despite the intense heat, we all successfully managed the route of 4.3 kilometres. The course took us across the heart of the Danube Island, starting at the Floridsdorfer Bridge towards the Reichsbrücke and along the New Danube, before we ran directly along the water back to the festival meadow.
The breathtaking scenery of the Danube Island, with views of the sparkling River Donau, the New River Donau, and the modern skyline of Donaucity, added a very special ‘running sensation’ to the event. The combination of the sporting challenge and the beauty of nature more than made up for the effort.
It was truly amazing to see how our team stuck together and encouraged each other. The Business Run is not only an opportunity to test our fitness, but also a wonderful way to reinforce team spirit and to network with new colleagues. After the run, we enjoyed a well-deserved end to the day with refreshing drinks.
We are already looking forward to the next run – the Vienna Night Run – to run together and enjoy the beauty of our city.
