Hildesheim School Biology Centre – Press conference for the new building

Nina Lipecki, chair of the association responsible for the School Biology Centre, together with our project manager Ingo Schumann, presented the proposed new building to interested politicians and representatives from the media at a press conference.
Ms. Lipecki explained the need for the new building because the existing building was getting outdated and was in a state of decay in some places. She stressed how important the centre is as part of the school curriculum in terms of biology and climate. With the functions of the building and its location next to the wildlife park, the centre can provide a special learning experience away from traditional school lessons. Ingo Schumann explained the most important criteria for the building, the construction method and the project process. In particular, the sustainable use of wood as a building material, as well as the use of modern, climate-friendly building technology, which confirmed the positive impression that the audience had already had of the project in the run-up to the planning stage. After answering questions from politicians and representatives from the press about the construction methods being used in the project, as well as the cost and timeframe of the project, a short walk around the site concluded the event, which was generally seen as very successful.
