With great anticipation, we visited the impressive House of Health Sciences, which was recently completed in August. This is not only another milestone in the development of the FH Campus, but also a place that fosters innovation and collaboration.
Our interested staff gathered in the ambitiously designed campus square and made their way to the shady courtyard outside the cafeteria, where the project presentation began. The first impression was very promising: we entered the building through the main entrance and immediately discussed the porter’s lodge and the main access point to the fire station – important aspects of the building’s safety and functionality.
After a quick tour of the assembly hall, which is impressive for its open design, we arrived at the spacious canteen, which is already up and running. This is not only a place to eat, but also a space for dialogue.
Another highlight of the tour was the ballroom, with its impressive view of the future Campus Avenue and interesting ceiling installations. The tour continued through the underground car park to the impressive Technical Centre, where the technical innovations behind the building can be seen.
A short detour to the collector’s corridor on the third basement floor gave us an exciting glimpse. Finally, we reached the upper floors via one of the three main staircases. In particular, the large terrace on the fifth floor, which invited us to linger, left a lasting impression. Finally, we visited the audio laboratory and the functional rooms.
The number of questions and the level of interest shown by our staff were an impressive demonstration of how inspiring the architecture and concept of the House of Health Sciences is. This project is more than just a building – it is a space for creativity, collaboration and progress. We look forward to continuing to support its development and are excited by the positive impetus that this place will bring.
