Iraq Infrastructure, Missan Oil Fields

The Chinese investor CNOOC has set ambitious goals for the redevelopment of Missan Oil Fields in Iraq: In the area of the Buzurgan Oil Terminal, a work base with administration buildings, technical infrastructure, accommodation, canteen and recreational facilities is planned for construction. Together with ILF Consulting Engineers, WGA ZT GmbH is revising the master plan of the facility and will design two hotels, a dormitory, two canteen buildings as well as the recreation and sports facility with football pitches, a basketball hall and a badminton hall, as well as the related outdoor facilities. For the many different groups of employees, the Chinese and the international specialists, as well as the local employees, customized buildings will be built, which are designed to meet the local conditions and the climate of the desert in the region. In the unhospitable, by the war affected environment, an oasis with a modern, international living and working ambience will be built, driving the reconstruction with a positive energy.
