The Oesterreichische Nationalbank operates a money museum at its location in Vienna, which presents alongside the main exhibition one yearly changing special exhibition.
As part of an award procedure, WGA ZT GmbH joined forces with Holzer Kobler Architekturen GmbH to apply for services in the areas of exhibition design and production as well as graphics.
Within the framework of these special exhibitions, services in the field of exhibition design and graphics as well as the construction and dismantling of the exhibition will be generated for the course of the next four years.
The design team develops for the next four special exhibitions a concept for the design of the existing showcases in terms of both the design and the equipment. During this process, the carrier systems for the object presentations are designed, picture materials, object labels, hall and area texts, as well as the graphic processing of illustrations and the creation of graphics are drafted. It is important to select a conservational and safe background and carrier materials as well as a carrier system for the object presentation in the showcases including object fixings and suspensions. An exhibition catalog and a folder will also be developed for the exhibition.
The construction of the first exhibition started at the end of July 2020 and the exhibition with the title „FUNNY MONEY. Geld in der Karikatur“ opened on August 11th, 2020.
