As part of the framework agreement on serial and modular construction, a residential complex consisting of two buildings in modular timber construction should be built in the city of Nordhausen, in Thüringen.
The design by WGA ZT GmbH consists of 30 apartments, which are arranged around the two staircases on three floors as 5-story apartments. The entrance cores face each other and are linked to each other by a canopy on the ground floor. The two stacked buildings extend along a northern slope with a clear view of the Harz, the northernmost mountain range in Germany.
The construction system of Lukas Lang Building Technologies shows its adaptability with this customized construction solution. The façade structure made out of different types of wood adds an individual touch to the modular system. The choice of the materials provides the impression of a homely atmosphere that matches the richly wooded surroundings.
