By 2024, a new nursing home will be built in the centre of the community of Gablitz, next to the site of the existing monastery, which will be completely oriented towards the needs of the residents. In total, 120 people will be able to be cared for and looked after in 1-bed rooms in the retirement centre. The aim is to provide care at the highest level and to create a home for well-being.
The speakers emphasised the special importance of the nursing home for the community of Gablitz, as the retirement home will be, one of the largest employers in the community. The central position in the village centre, represents the starting signal for future developments of the growing community. “We are bringing life into the community, and this will change it,” Mayor Michael Cech is convinced.
State Councillor Christiane Teschl-Hofmeister was also present as a guest of honour and emphasised in her speech the positive symbolic effect that the construction of the health building will have on the outside world.
A school class from Vienna accompanied the event with music and singing and created a solemn and pleasant atmosphere. After the blessing of the building site, the festivities were enjoyed extensively with food and drink.
