As the scaffolding has gone up around the outside of the building at Schrottensteingasse 6, 1220 Vienna, work on the façades has now started.
Around the courtyard, the insulation boards that are part of the modern external composite thermal insulation system have already been carefully attached to the exterior walls using dowels. This is a crucial step towards improving the energy efficiency of the building. The next stage will involve wetting and then abrading the façade.
Work on the carpentry and metal fittings for the roofs and terraces is also progressing rapidly. Most of the work on the substructures for the pitched roofs has been completed, which means that we will soon be able to start work on the roofs themselves.
