Over the next couple of months, four blocks of flats and four pairs of semi-detached houses will be built in Langen. This will provide a total of 106 residential units built using a timber frame system, with the aim of increasing the density of the housing estate in the Neurott district.
After an intense planning phase following the competition entry, the existing pipelines for the block of flats could already be removed and the construction site equipment has been set up during the preparatory work for construction. The next stage involved digging the first two excavation pits for the free-standing structures.
As there has been rapid progress with the construction work, the formwork for the base slab has already been set up in part D once the sub-base course had been put in place. Work is now starting gradually on the other components.
