Sustainable building using timber construction

We design architecture holistically and attach a great deal of importance to the environment and sustainability.
In our planning, we always consider all of the essential aspects of sustainable building, such as ecology, economy, quality and also social aspects.
In particular, timber construction is becoming increasingly important in the architecture sector. We have been working intensively on the topic of “sustainable building” for several years and have completed a number of projects using timber construction.
One of the best known projects is the “Temporary Parliament” in Vienna, which can be completely dismantled and rebuilt as needed. The three temporary pavilions were built by Lukas Lang Building Technologies GmbH using the timber system construction method, which not only fulfils the criteria of cost, quality and functionality, but also makes an important contribution in terms of sustainability.
The Lukas Lang Building Technologies GmbH modular system consists of prefabricated components that can be assembled in different ways to create individual, turnkey buildings. The building elements are assembled directly on the construction site. The buildings can be expanded, changed, relocated and rebuilt for a different use at any time. In keeping with this resource-saving and environmentally-conscious construction method, the main material is predominantly local wood.
As architects, we appreciate the versatility of this sustainable construction method and have planned several projects in the office, education and especially residential sectors. Current projects include, for example, the Landzinshäuser, which is not only creating environmentally-friendly housing, the accommodation is also affordable.
