On Sunday, 6 April 2025, the Vienna City Marathon took place once again, and our employees teamed up – as they do every year – for an exciting team relay race to not only challenge their athletic fitness but also to strengthen their team spirit.
Our team of dedicated runners spent the weeks leading up to the marathon preparing rigorously for the actual race day. The route took the runners through Vienna’s most stunning sights, including the historic centre, the Prater and the Danube. The competitors were not only motivated to reach their personal records, but also to inspire the audience with their enthusiasm.
During the race, we had the support of our WGA team, friends and family members who – despite the freezing temperatures and a strong wind – lined up along the track and were cheering for us. This positive energy helped us all to push ourselves to our limits and perform at the very best of our abilities.
After passing the finishing line, the joy was simply overwhelming. The race was an excellent opportunity for us to strengthen our team spirit and to celebrate the importance of teamwork and mutual support.
Finally, we would like to thank all participants, supporters and organisers. We are already looking forward to our next challenge!
