A part of the WGA team traveled to the capital of the USA from October 26th, 2019 – November 2nd, 2019. After a short stopover in Frankfurt, everybody traveled on to Washington, D.C. A highlight of the trip and a real architectural icon – Fallingwater by Frank Lloyd Wright amazed us and let our architect’s heart beat faster. In Washington we could admire famous sights such as the White House, the Capitol, the Pentagon, the National Mall with its monuments and museums, etc. and shortly after its reopening we explored the Washington Monument, still the highest stone building in the world. Another highlight of our trip was a day trip to New York City, where we explored some of the architectural masterpieces from the past decades, such as the Seagram Building, the Rockefeller Center, the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, as well as the latest new buildings by major international architects. Because of the permanent transformation of the never-sleeping city, New York becomes a new experience each time.
