At WGA Group, we are becoming increasingly involved in healthcare construction. Over the years, we have completed several healthcare and educational buildings specifically designed for the medical sector. These include Messestrasse II, Vienna, a faculty building to be completed in 2018 to house the medical and legal faculties in Vienna’s 2nd district. This location features modern technical equipment for teaching, science and research in both disciplines. A dental clinic is also part of the building.
In 2023, we completed a multifunctional healthcare centre in Wiener Neustadt’s ‘Nova City’. In addition to medical services, the centre includes a hotel, serviced apartments, restaurants, shops and a state-of-the-art conference and seminar centre, including a kindergarten. The centre complements the services of the local cancer research and treatment centre ‘MedAustron’ and provides accommodation for patients, relatives, seminar and conference participants and healthcare professionals.
Last year, we were also involved as general planner in the construction of the new FH Campus Vienna ‘House of Health Sciences, Vienna’ at the Favoriten site. Digital Building Information Modelling (BIM) was used at all stages of the planning process. The new campus provides facilities for practical and theoretical training in the fields of nursing and health sciences. The campus is not only a centre for education and research, but also a platform for interdisciplinary cooperation within the healthcare sector.
We are currently developing the Atomos Klosterneuburg project. The site of the former Klosterneuburg Geriatric Centre is being extensively redeveloped to become a modern healthcare centre with a wide range of medical services, restaurants and assisted living apartments.
