On Friday, 18 October 2024, the annual two-day autumn excursion started for our Berlin colleagues. The train journey to Rostock in the morning was a short and pleasant one, full of anticipation for the upcoming experiences.
After arriving in the enchanting Hanseatic city, the team headed straight to the city harbour. This is where the colleagues enjoyed some delicious fresh fish sandwiches on board a restaurant boat. They had a lovely lunch in the bright sunshine and took the opportunity to get in the mood for the upcoming adventures.
Afterwards, the group travelled on a steamer to Warnemünde. The wonderful weather allowed them to admire the stunning views from the upper deck. The colleagues from Berlin went ashore for a walk around the picturesque Baltic seaside resort. As there was no breeze, they followed the lighthouse directly to the beach to get some fresh Baltic Sea air and to simply relax.
On the way back to Rostock, the group made themselves comfortable on the lower deck of the steamer, exchanging stories and reflecting about their day. Shortly before sunset, everyone arrived at the city harbour, where a delicious dinner in a traditional brewery pub was waiting for them – the ideal end to an eventful day.
The next morning, after a refreshing breakfast, everyone had the opportunity to discover more about the fascinating brick Gothic style. During a guided tour of the historic city centre, the participants received fascinating insights about the architectural masterpieces of Rostock.
In the afternoon, the team returned to Berlin by train with plenty of new impressions and experiences in their luggage.
This year’s autumn excursion was a great success, reinforcing the team spirit and creating unforgettable memories for everyone. We are already looking forward to the very next adventure!
