Carlos Ferreira Mayerle is Head of the BIM and CAD group at WGA ZT GmbH and is responsible for the development and management of BIM models for numerous projects.
His tasks also include overall BIM coordination. Together with other BIM experts in the company, he is constantly developing innovative solutions to continuously improve the work process.
Since he joined WGA ZT GmbH, he has been able to accumulate many years of experience in all service phases and has brought many projects to a successful conclusion as project manager since 2017.
Carlos Ferreira Mayerle obtained his degree in architecture from the Vienna University of Technology in 2016. He was already able to gain professional experience in the family business during his studies. One of the main challenges here involved working on existing buildings.
After completing his university degree, he worked on several residential, educational and commercial projects at WGA ZT GmbH. His responsibilities started with the initial design process and ended with the handover to the owners or operators. In addition to handling the various service phases, his expertise includes the creation of specifications, cost control and artistic supervision.
Carlos Ferreira Mayerle has been able to broaden his expertise in recent years by gaining the ‘Practitioner Coordination’ (BIM Coordination, eh. Level B) certification as part of the BIMcert qualification from buildingSMART Austria and previously the Professional Certification Foundation – Basis. He successfully implements and continuously improves this knowledge in his current position as the BIM group leader.
