Karl Engelmaier is responsible for the group management of IT, digitalisation and innovation at WGA ZT GmbH.
In his role, he supports the company in the systematic development of internal software, ensuring a smooth workflow and the associated information security. He and his team are constantly developing innovative solutions for the company, providing technical support for the quality of day-to-day services.
Since joining WGA ZT GmbH, he has worked as a team member in various areas, including quality management, office management, BIM, IT administration and open space planning. Karl graduated from the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences, Vienna in 2019 with a degree in landscape planning and landscape architecture. Prior to this, he gained his first experience and successes in open space planning in several competitions, as he currently also works as a “open-space planning consultant” within WGA ZT GmbH.
During his studies, he acquired and developed his skills in IT administration through his part-time jobs as a technician. Simultaneously with his studies, in March 2018 he started working at WGA ZT GmbH in the areas of quality management and IT administration, where he was able to further develop his expertise in these areas.
Thanks to the certifications within the BIMcert qualification of buildingSMART Austria, Karl Engelmaier was able to expand his expertise by obtaining the Practitioner Coordination (BIM Coordination, eh. Level B) and previously the Professional Certification Foundation – Basis. This BIM knowledge is continuously applied and expanded within the company. In addition, Karl Engelmaier organises internal basic courses for the Autodesk Revit application software, which support the further training of our employees and ensure that they have the necessary knowledge.
