Dipl.-Ing. Thomas Schmidt

Thomas Schmidt is responsible for project planning and sustainable construction. As part of this role, he develops sustainable solutions that can be applied to the business and to the design and delivery of projects. As our in-house sustainable construction expert, Thomas is also actively involved in various certifications, including ÖGNI and klimaaktiv, as well as the EU Taxonomy Regulation. With his broad expertise, he helps our clients and partners to plan all the necessary measures and steps to realise and certify sustainable existing and new construction projects.

Prior to this, Thomas Schmidt worked for several years at WGA ZT GmbH on projects of various sizes and was responsible for the overall project management of numerous new residential, healthcare and nursing home construction projects as a project manager in construction management.

Thomas graduated from the Vienna University of Technology in 2016 with a degree in architecture.  Prior to his studies, he gained many years of professional experience in an architectural office. During this time he gained expertise in building within existing structures and coordinating different trades. His involvement began with the submission phase and ended with the handover to the client. During this time, he acquired extensive knowledge of submission, execution and detailed planning, as well as local site supervision. Since joining WGA ZT GmbH, Thomas Schmidt has been able to apply and expand this expertise.
